Celebrating two years in business: The key lessons and highlights

Hello #EUNYBM readers!! This blog post will feature Eunice N. Yidana, Founder and CEO of EUNY BESPOKE MEDIA, who will share her insights, key lessons, and highlights on the business’ operational scope for 2025. Also, EUNY BESPOKE MEDIA celebrated its second business anniversary in December 2025.

What I have learned so far in running a business in 2025:

Running a business requires intentionality, continuous learning, networking, and dedication.

It also requires putting systems in place and knowing which tools/software are effective to give you a seamless work experience.

Highlights of what EUNY BESPOKE MEDIA was up to in 2025:

  • Impactful Projects: I worked on insightful, impactful client projects ranging from website design to content writing that helped me understand the scope of various industries.

  • Portfolio Launch: I successfully designed my writing portfolio website, STORIES BY EUNY, instead of sending PDFs of articles to companies for my content writing/copywriting service. This also helped make it look more cohesive/organized.

  • Continuous Learning: To continuously help me learn and understand marketing perspectives from marketing professionals, I read the emails from the Marketing Against the Grain (formerly Masters in Marketing) newsletter from HubSpot Media.

  • Industry Engagement: As the Founder and CEO of EUNY BESPOKE MEDIA, I attended an event organized by Morrisette Institute for Entrepreneurship at Western University. The event was themed “Fueling Startups: Resources and Funding Strategies,” with panelists from Bio Next, Tech Alliance, the Ontario Centre for Innovation, the Morrisette Institute of Entrepreneurship, and Western Research Parks.

  • Professional Growth: I was selected as one of ten mentees in the 2025 National Media Awards Foundation (NMAF) BIPOC Mentorship Program in Canada. I had the opportunity to learn directly from a senior publishing leader through collaborative one-on-one meetings.

  • Community Leadership: I joined the Board Executive Committee of the Middlesex London Food Policy Council (MLFPC) as a Secretary. I support the organization by recruiting members and communicating to positively influence local food and agriculture policy.

  • Community Engagement: I also attended a Food Summit event, themed “Cultivating Resilient Food Systems,” and an Experiential food tour organized by Middlesex London Food Policy Council (MLFPC).

  • Community Engagement: I was part of the Advisory Committee of the MLFPC Food Summit working group. I was glad to see EUNY BESPOKE MEDIA’s logo on the summit agenda, mentioned during the opening ceremony, and on the thank-you slide.
